In other good news - since today's the 31st, that means it's the 1st in Japan, which means TWO DAYS UNTIL THE HARUKA3 OVA SHOWS. :DD This also means that there's only three weeks and 1 day (!!!) until Bloody Monday 2 starts showing!~ :D Awesome shit is awesome, yo. /excited

2010's looking to be pretty damn awesome already (well, through my fandom-tinted glasses /D), and it hasn't even started yet~ Haruka 3 OVA, BM2, Yamanade, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Gundam 00 movie, Sengoku Basara S2, Sengoku Basara 3, Sengoku Gyoujin Dullahan (hopefully!), NGE 2.0 in NA theaters (hopefully!), new Kalafina single!!, new KT, NewS and HSJ releases (hopefully!), Vancouver2010, the last two volumes of Switch released in English, AN10, Show... the list just goes on and on and on XD; but yeah, I'm super excited for like, all of it!

I went to Value Village yesterday to pick up some things for Show~ I love Value Village, omfg. XD; It's like...a scavenger hunt with a blank check for a list. *__* I got pretty much everything I need for the kids, fgeaman and kmckenna. need to figure out awaitzer now, derp. I also got this curtain made out of what feels like knock-off dupioni silk (but I'm bad at this so don't take my word for it XD) that, after some blue dye and stuff like that, is going to become my semiformal dress. ♥ unless epark and mlei figure out someone for me to cosplay as, lol.


anyways, sengoku basara has sort of taken over my fandom life, or at least it will for at least the next day or two at the rate things have been going for me fandom-wise. no but actually, like even shipping for Perfect Grade 00 Raiser, at the cheapest rate I could find, is about $100 alone. aughhhhhhhhhhh.

I also tried looking for subscriptions to G-fantasy and Zero Sum online, and the magazines themselves aren't terribly expensive - 580¥ per issue, but the shipping holy shit. The shipping costs more than the magazine itself! One year's worth of Zero Sum, shipped to Canada, from CD Japan is like. $270 CDN fml fml fml. G-fantasy is only slightly better. I'm going to smack my head into a wall.

Ahh~ I just finished an evening of playing Santa. Mou~ It's difficult when your little brother still isn't asleep by midnight! But it's something I really enjoy doing, ever since I realised that my brother was old enough and I was old enough to take the other side of believing in Santa.

My parents always would laugh because I refused to stop believing in Santa. To be honest, I still do - but in the cheesy way, I'm afraid, that as long as the spirit lives, then you can never stop believing. And for me, I want to let my brother experience this childish belief for as long as possible - that there is someone out there who will unconditionally give, that every so often, there is a "free lunch" so to speak. That there is some good in this world, I guess~?

Christmas I think should be a happy time~ This year I'm afraid I've shown everyone my depressing side sometimes...But right now, I'd like to remember only the happy times, and try to do even better this year in that regard~ So, to everyone, whether you celebrate this time or not, please remember to be happy!

The rest of the article, which I finally read afterwards, basically said that this might be something to distract from something horribly, horribly stupid ZhouMi said. What the article says he said is "去年在大陆宣传的时候，也遇到地震，还挺开心的。" ("Last year when we were in China doing activities, we also had an earthquake, so this was pretty happy.") Obviously, HanGeng covered up quickly for that (yay for sensible Leader) but it'd already been caught on video.

Please remember what happened to China last year, in terms of earthquakes. For a Chinese person to say that to Chinese people is like, WTF MIMI. But in the video, what he actually says is closer to "because there was a large earthquake last year when we were here, this earthquake reminded me of that, and so there was a bit of a happy feeling". But the article didn't really put words into his mouth - they just took away some. But still, wtf MiMi.

Now I don't know what to think. Because I suppose that if what he said did become widespread news, shit really would hit the fan. But clearly, his actual words can be construed in a way that don't mean "I was happy for the earthquake that killed a heck lot of people and tore at the country's heart", yet the media doesn't choose to report them in that way. On the other hand, fans are also considering that this is all a publicity stunt for ticket sales, so... And hey, if this is a cover up, it seems to have worked, because other than that news article, I totally haven't seen any massive "holy shit wtf zhou mi".

(The comments that've been left about him though, /wince - In the space of around 3 hours, 75% of the 230 comments are about how ZhouMi is an idiot, if he's Chinese or not, that SJ and him are all garbage. The other comments are from fans and "hope that this is true" and that HanGeng isn't leaving.) I don't know what to think =/ /end tl;dr

yesterday I went to see the Olympic torch! It came through downtown Oakville (hurr now you know where I live) yesterday on Lakeshore and since I live like, practically on Lakeshore (passed the corner of Lakeshore and my street, lol) I went to go see it. It was cold, but still awesome. 8D

I started reading Naked Ape's Black Tar (also known as Yasha? idk which one's the official title...)~ Dragon Voice started scanslating it, so I dled the first chapter and didn't touch it for a while. It's actually really interesting! And naked ape's art is gorgeous as usual. n___n I really recommend reading it! It's not up on mangafox or onemanga, so you'll have to dl it off of http://dragonvoice.org (projects > yasha), and there's only one chapter out so far but it looks really good~


ohohohoho finally finished. the coloured version's been sitting in my in progress folder for a while waiting to finally be iconized... I lost pretty much like, all my raw manga (I have a volume of di[e]ce but that's it) so I doubt I'll be doing much colouring for a bit. ): I still have some random pages saved in a folder, though, so maybe that'll be enough for now? either way, I hope I'm improving when it comes to coloured stuff. XD;
